Sona Meta Chem is having Well equipped in-house laboratory to check and control the quality of all incoming and outgoing material. We have highly trained professional at every stage of manufacturing process to meet the customer’s ever-changing quality and technical requirements.

For Friction Industry Sona Meta Chem, with the well equipped R&D laboratory compounds, produces disc pads in flush and/or positive moulds and tests the friction behavior either by “chase” or by “full scale” friction test machines. By this way the best compatible raw materials are being developed and produced for the friction industry

Sona Meta Chem is in a constant R&D process in order to increase the number of the engineered raw materials used in friction industry.

Company is located in southern Indian state of Pondicherry , very near to port of Chennai (Formerly known as Madras) and in the heart of Cashew Processing area to ensure easy availability of high quality raw material , in turn great quality Final Friction Products. Company is situated in notified industrial area and surrounded by a green belt.

Our Quality Management System is certified to ISO 9001:2000, certified by Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI) vide their certificate number 121217 Dt. 16th December, 2002.

We were the first Indian Friction dust manufacturer to certify for this certification. We obtained the certification without any non conformance report not only at the stage of certification but in all the subsequent surveillance audits conducted by BVQI. This shows the company’s commitment for efficient implementation of Quality Management System.

It is for this simple reason that today our product not only used and appreciated by leading Indian friction material manufacturers but very well accepted by top of line friction material manufacturers globally.

We are having state of the art and environment friendly manufacturing process with zero effluent and registered with appropriate governmental authorities for environment friendly process. We are in the process for obtaining the ISO 14000.
